Circle of Courage
This course provides strength-based strategies for youth. Respond to their needs rather than react to their problems. It consists of video segments of lecture with SGLN Director Derek Allen, small group discussions, experiential activities, video clips, and case presentations.
Designed for any professionals or caregivers who work with individuals who exhibit problematic behavior, this course provides a foundational introduction and overview of the Circle of Courage philosophy.
This course is a pre-requisite for taking the following advanced courses: Courageous Classrooms, Courageous Connections, Leading with Courage, and Training of Trainers: The Circle of Courage.
- Learn strategies to connect with challenging children and youth.
- Learn how to help young persons learn to think clearly about their behavior in order to creatively solve problems, master difficult challenges, and meet their needs.
- Learn how to help troubled youth restore inner and interpersonal harmony.
Continuing Education Credits:
