Since graduating from Emory University in 1995, Kimberly has dedicated her career to working with students identified as having severe emotional behavior disorders. She has worked in the private residential and public-school settings as a behavior specialist, classroom teacher and instructional lead teacher. Kimberly received her Master’s in Special Education from Georgia State University and her Specialist in Education from University of Missouri with a concentration in Mental Health in Schools. She is also a trained Child Forensic Interviewer and is a member of the multidisciplinary team for Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center
In October of 2016, Kimberly formed K. Hodges Consulting, LLC with the goal of combining her skills as a Trauma Trainer, Practitioner, Forensic Interviewer and School Behavior Consultant. She also continues to work part-time as a behavior interventionist for the South Metro GNETS (Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support) Program. When Kimberly and her therapy dog, Skillet, aren’t working, they are sure to be found goofing off in the sunshine…hiking, paddle boarding or playing on the beach. They live in Atlanta, Georgia.
