Starr Columbus

Delinquent Residential, Sexually Reactive Youth
This program uses a strength-based, youth-empowerment model to serve delinquent male students 12-18 years-old who have sexually offended and are at moderate to high risk to re-offend.  The goal is to move adolescent sex offender treatment beyond behavior modification to distinct value change, where students can develop productive, healthy and contributing lifestyles.  An on-campus school, staffed by the local school district, meets the varied educational needs of each student.  Family involvement in treatment is strongly encouraged.

Treatment Foster Care
Treatment Foster Care is for children between the ages of 0-18 who have been removed from their families because of abuse or neglect.  Whether children are temporary or permanent wards of the state, county or court, placement counselors make sure children have secure places with caring foster parents.

The end goal is to reunite families whenever possible, but if not, Starr supervises children through to permanent placement. The key to success is doing more than placement. Starr works with families to change values, and works with kids to repair the damages from abuse and neglect.
